GIBONS, Robert E. 80, of Palm Harbor, died on Monday, June 15, 2009. He was born in Chicago, IL and moved to the area in 1995, from Glen Ellyn, IL. He was self employed as an engineer and owner of Superior Tank & Fabricating Co. and a veteran, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a life member of the Marine Corps League, a life member of the American Legion and a volunteer at the National Armed Services and Law Enforcement Museum in Dunedin. He was predeceased by his wife Doris and a sister and brother-in-law, Jean & Richard Syslo. He is survived by a son, Robert N. of Palm Harbor; 2 daughters, Karen (Bill) Troller of Chicago, IL and Lisa (Scott) Toscani of Palm Harbor; a brother, Newcomb (Sheila) Gibons of Tempe, AZ; a sister, Patricia (Stanley) Marczak of Streamwood, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, at 5 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7 pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Palm Harbor Chapel, 2550 Highlands Blvd. North, Palm Harbor.
