Robert Fulton Williams, age 75, of Mary Esther, Fla., passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, after a lengthy illness. He was born on Jan. 8, 1934, in Athens, Ala., to the late Jepsie and Evie Williams. Robert retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant with 22 years and nine months of service. He worked for Ver Val Industries for 10 years and also had a great love for horses. He is survived by two sons, David W. Williams and his wife Patricia of Pensacola, Fla., and Robert F. Williams Jr. of Mary Esther; four grandchildren, Joshua Williams and Lance Cpl. Larry J. Williams of Pensacola, Jared M. and Robert B. Williams of Mary Esther; and one-great-grandchild, Kameron J. Williams. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N.E., Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Byron Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations to the Cancer or Emphysema Society in Robert's name. You may offer condolences and sign the guestbook at emeraldcoastfuneralhome.com
