Robert Frederick Anderson, 98, Venice, died Jan. 14, 2006. He was born Sept. 29, 1907, in New York City and came to Venice in 2001 from Brick Township, N.J. He retired in 1974 as a sales representative with the Mueller Brass Works in Little Falls, N.J. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a first lieutenant. Survivors include a son, Robert of Holmes Beach; a daughter Jane Hudson of Hilton Head, S.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. At his request, no services are planned and his body will be donated to the University of Florida Anatomical Board in Gainesville. Shannon Funeral Home, Westview Chapel, Bradenton, is in charge.
