AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Robert F. Johnson of Murphy Court died on July 18, 2008. He was 79 years old. The Funeral Service will be conducted today, July 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Road Augusta, 706.798.8886. Rev. Billy Atkins will officiate for the chapel service. The Committal Service will follow at West Over Cemetery. A full Military Honors and a Masonic service will be held and the grave side. Bro. Ronnie Lanham will officiate at the grave side service. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his Parents, Catherine and C. B. Johnson; and his son, Robert Hartness Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving and devoted wife Margarett H. Johnson; his children, David D. Johnson Sr., Milton E. Johnson, Craig L. Johnson, Phillip K. Johnson, Sandra M. Collins, Fred Hartnes; daughter-in-law Allison Hartness; his grandchildren, David D. Johnson Jr. Michelle C. Johnson, Patti, Jessica, Terri, James, Donald, Andy, Tammy, Mary, Craig, Blaine, Shane, Melanie, Zachary, and Chasity. Mr. Johnson was a member of Fleming Baptist Church. He was also a Master Mason of Lodge 718. Mr. Johnson was very proud of the 20 plus years he spent serving his country in the United States Army.
