May 14, 2004 Robert Francis Murphy, 77, of Nedrow, died Friday at Community General Hospital. Born in Auburn, NY, Bob resided in the Syracuse area for the past 40 years. Bob ran his own construction business for more than 50 years. He was a Navy vet-eran of WWII. He was a member of the Auburn Drum and Bugle Corps, American Legion, past president and coach for Valley Little League and past member of Nedrow Fire Dept. Bob was a devoted Yankee and Notre Dame fan, enjoyed working in his yard and was very proud of his Irish heritage. Survivors: his wife of 55 years, Betty (Conley); a daughter, Deborah (Bud) Neuman and their children: Kimberly, Lynda, Michael and Jon of Baldwinsville; three sons: Gary and his children, Maggie and Jimmy of Syracuse; Jim (Margarita) and their son, Ian, of Nedrow; John (Kristen) and their children, Colleen and Claire of Auburn, AL; and three great-grandchildren.
