Obituary of Robert-F. Carter


ObituaryRobert F. Carter, 78, of North Ft. Myers, died Sun Jan 30, 2005. He had been a resident since 1985 formerly of Londonderry, NH. Mr. Carter was born Mar 29, 1926 in Somerville, MA the son of Herbert & Lillian Hurley Carter.He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Debra Carter at the age of 19 and is survived by his wife of 52 years Jean Carter. His surviving children are Pamela Carter of West End, NC, Robert M. Carter of Cape Coral and Cheryl Pemberton of Edna, TX. He is also survived by his brother Herbert and 3 sisters Pauline, Elizabeth and Jean. He leaves his precious grandchildren Kirk Kuehnel, Liesel (Kuehnel) Valdez, Cody Pemberton, Andrew and Daniel Carter and one great grandson Ryder Valdez.Mr. Carter was a veteran of WWII and attended Reading, MA High School, Dean Academy, Morris Harvey and Boston University. He was employed by the Raytheon Company of Waltham, MA for 27 years retiring in 1987 to Lake Fairways in North Ft. Myers. He was an avid golfer and tennis player and when in good health enjoyed traveling.Memorial service will be celebrated Sat Feb 5th at 11:00 AM at the Harvey-Engelhardt Chapel 1600 Colonial Blvd. with Chaplain Michael Criggers officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hope Hospice 2430 Diplomat Pkwy. East, Cape Coral, FL 33909
