Obituary of Robert-Eldon Lee


LEE, Robert Eldon, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in Avon Park, Fla. He was born in Spink County, South Dakota to Fay and Clara (Larson) Lee. He was a Manager for a clothing store for 45 years, former member of the Avon Park City Council, charter member of the Lions Club of Avon Park, member of the American Legion, member of First United Methodist Church, member of the First United Methodist Church Choir, he was an avid golfer, he served in the United States Navy during World War II and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1951 coming from Sanford, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Velma Lee of Avon Park; daughters, Sharon Timlake (Danny) of Dade City, Fla. and Susan Dick (Rickey) of Wauchula, Fla.; sisters, Ardys Smith of Sanford and Lois Taylor of Graceville, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Thorn officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 21, 2006, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (1/2 hour prior to service) at the church. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Program.
