CAREY Robert Edward Carey, Sr., 62, passed away March 10, 2003. A native of New York City, Mr. Carey had resided in Jacksonville for the past twenty years. He had retired from the Fort James Paper Company after twenty years of service, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Nancy M. Carey; daughters, Diane Taylor of St. Augustine, Kathleen (Lee) Ramos of Orange Park and Lora Beth Carey of Palatka; son, Robert Edward Carey, Jr., of Florida; sisters, Julia (Kenneth) Reardon of Jacksonville and Dale A. Carey of Winthrop, MA; nephew, Sgt. Kenneth Reardon, Jr. of Jacksonville; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. The Rev. Daniel Cody will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2003 in the historic sanctuary of St. Josephs Catholic Church.
