Mr. Robert E. Lee passed away Thursday evening at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, N.J. He was 84. The funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset, N.J. 08873, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church in Piscataway, N.J. Entombent will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway. Visitation will be on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. only at the funeral home. Born in Linden, N.J., Mr. Lee was a resident of Somerset, N.J.; Avenel, N.J.; Florida and upstate New York before moving to Manchester. He served his country with the Merchant Marines and retired after more than 25 years with the Wakefern Food Corp. in Elizabeth, N.J. He was an expert handyman and woodworker, and he loved the outdoors. Mr. Lee was predeceased by his brothers, James and Elmer Lee, and his sisters, Ruth Viteka, Beatrice Astorino, and Eileen Ramos. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Rose Lee (DiSpririto); his son, Vincent, and daughter-in-law, Heather Lee, of Folsom, Calif.; his daughters, Theresa Cianfrocca and her husband, Daniel, of South Plainfield, N.J., and Joann Tremble and her husband, Shawn, of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; his sisters, Dolores Lisa, Rosemary Payne, Marguerite Mitchelli and Phyllis Heruska, and his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
