JONES, ROBERT E., 79 Summerfield - Robert E. Jones, 79, of Summerfield, died January 1, 2007 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Birmingham, AL and moved to Summerfield from Atlanta, GA over 50 years ago. Mr. Jones was a 30-year member of First Baptist Church of Summerfield where he was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. He was a retired rural letter carrier and enjoyed barbershop singing and sailboats. He was a veteran of the Army and served in the Army Reserves. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Anne M. Jones, Summerfield; daughters, Annette Jones, Providence, RI, JoAnn T. Walsh, Savannah, Georgia; sons, Dennis W. Jones, Ocala, FL, Kenneth E. Jones, Weirsdale, FL, Lawton Tootle and Tim Tootle, both of New York City, sisters, Dorothy Pinnizotto, Erial, NJ, Betty Collier, Anderson, SC; brothers, Mike Jones, Belleview, Carl Jones, Berlin, IN; 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Services for Mr. Jones will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Summerfield with Rev. Michael Hunkus officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. at HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview.
