LEBANON, Pa. - Robert E. Flanagan, 85, formerly of Mount Joy, Pa., died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Hospice of Lancaster County. He was the husband of Adrianna V. Stevens Flanagan. Born Nov. 1, 1923, in Bangor, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Chassion Flanagan. He retired as chief master sergeant from the U.S. Navy after 25 years of service. He also was formerly employed by Electric Boat, Groton, Conn., as an engineer inspector. He worshiped in the Catholic faith. Mr. Flanagan loved playing golf, traveling and solving crossword puzzles. He will be greatly missed by his family and his dog, Tiffany. Surviving, in addition to his wife are daughters, Lina A. Flanagan of Long Beach, Calif., and Nancy L. and husband, Michael Leahy, of Lebanon, Pa.; grandsons, Derek Leahy and wife, Teresa of Washington state, and Keith Leahy and significant other, Floyd Canaday, of Illinois; granddaughter, Natasha and husband, Francisco Garcia, of California; and great-granddaughters, Maya, Liv, Maeve and Quinn. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, Pa., where a visitation will begin 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
