DAVIS, ROBERT "BOB" DONALD, Micanopy - Robert "Bob" Donald Davis, age 53, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida. He was born on July 27, 1953 in Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Davis was a Glazer at a glass and mirror company. He loved horse racing and also owned a race horse. After the horse was no longer able to race, he donated the horse to the Sheriffs Boy's Ranch in Palatka, FL. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Harley "Chris" Andrew, and his father, John Francis Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Louise Rice Davis of Micanopy, FL; mother, Gladys Davis of Wilmington, DE; daughter, Melanie Andrew (David) Short of Milton, TN; two sons, John (Bridget) Davis of Citra, FL, and James "Jimmy" (Denise Ann) Andrew of Houston, TX; three brothers, Scott (Gina) Davis of Delaware, John (Melanie) Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Art (Carol) Davis of Michigan; and four grandchildren, Morgan Aulbree Davis, Breyden L. Haire, Austin Colin Andrew, and Nathaniel Lee Short. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, 2007, at 1:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church of Micanopy, 709 NE 1st Street, Micanopy, FL, with Pastor Michael Hampton officiating.
