He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Geraldine Cooley of Quincy; his children, Robby, Rodney, and Jeniffer Cooley; his stepchildren, Lisa Jones, Leon Meeks, Cliff Meeks all of Quincy; his brother, Johnny Cooley; his sister, Nellie Ruth Hoopaugh; nieces, Judy and Bootsie; numerous grandchildren; and two special grandchildren, Mathew and Kristen, both of Quincy.He is preceded in death by his parents, Colin Brinker and Lucille Poppel Cooley.
