Obituary of Robert-Carl Johnson

JOHNSON, Robert "Bob" Carl - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a husband, father, 'Poppa', relative, friend, and brother of I.U.E.C Local 50, Bob Johnson at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, on January 26, 2009 in his 69th year. After a short battle with cancer, we gave Dad back to God. Throughout the challenge of his battle, he showed great dignity; he was a true gentleman. His pain has ended, and for that we are truly grateful. He leaves behind his soul mate of 45 years, Joyce, whose love never failed and only deepened with time; his children, Robert ''Rob'' and Christine and their spouses, Theresa and Allan, were honoured to have shared their lives and hearts with such a kind and caring father; Poppa's gentle, loving nature will carry on in his three grandchildren: Meghan Charlotte, Ella Grace and Lucas Robert; his time with them was so very short. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Bob's friends and relatives are asked to join in the celebration of his life in the chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Newmarket Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. On-line condolences may be made at www.roadhouseandrose.com Some people make the world special just by being in it, we love you Pops!
