Robert C. Bryant, aka "Clemson Bob," age 70, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away at his home of natural causes on Jan. 22, 2010. He was born on April 13, 1939, to the late Robert and Laura Bryant, in Belton, S.C. Robert retired from the U. S. Air Force (master sergeant) after 24 years of service. He was a graduate of Belton High School Class of 1957. He was a member of the Moose and Eagle Lodge. He was an avid collector of all things. He was a huge fan of NASCAR and M&Ms and loved to work crossword puzzles. But most of all he enjoyed being "Poppy" to family and neighbors. Robert is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Patricia Bryant; niece and nephews, Sherry Stone, Steve Bryant and Scott Bryant; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Kenny Thompson, Connie Towers, and Christy and Terrance Zeigler; grandchildren, Jason David Gray, Amanda Marie Hempler, Heather Delap, Kayla Thompson, Derek Garrity, Kirsten Thompson, Kyle Garrity and Anniston Ruff; friends, Carolyn Shoemaker, Woody and Jamie Ruff, Michael (the songwriter) and many, many more! Beloved pets, Nikki, Dabber, Garfield and Roscoe (deceased). "Good Night Bob" The orange man cometh mildly disheveled, manly, cordial with a voice like a finger print, his own and identifiable, at the door. Perhaps full haired - beyond his years and always followed by his gleaming eccentricities, they were his firm shadow!
