SPRINGFIELD - Robert Booth Orton, 59, died Aug. 14, 2009, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction.He was born Jan. 10, 1950, in Springfield, the son of Maurice Amore Orton and Harriet "Betty" Booth Orton.He was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War veteran serving as a sergeant.Mr. Orton retired from Sears Service and Repair in West Lebanon, N.H.Survivors include his children, Julie Hillard, Michelle Armstrong, Kerry Orton and Jonathan Orton.The private gathering will take place Saturday, Aug. 22, at Stoughton Pond Pavilion.View the guest book at www.rutlandherald.com/ obits.
