Memorial service for Robert Arthur "Robbie" Williams, 65, Banner Elk, N.C., who died May 16, 2006, will be Saturday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Avenue, DeLand, with the Rev. Michael Fronk officiating. Mr. Williams was born in DeLand, and moved from there to Banner Elk in 1991. He served in the U.S. Army Calvary Division after attending Young Harris College. Robbie became a demonstration water skier for Chrysler Motors. He loved plants and botanicals, and was retired from Pennington Seed. While working for Pennington, he was the top salesman of the nation for many years, and later became account manager. Robbie also loved woodworking and was a custom cabinet maker. Survivors include his daughter, Melynda A. Williams, Brandon, Fla.; son, Wade B. Williams, Tampa; and brother, Donald G.
