Obituary of Robert-Arthur Whitaker

WHITAKER Robert Arthur Whitaker, 68, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006. He was born in Jacksonville and retired as a Printer from the Florida Times-Union. Mr. Whitaker was a member of Highlands United Presbyterian Church, where Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11th with Dr. David Lee officiating. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ellen Whitaker, his parents, James & Pearl Whitaker, and a brother, James Whitaker. He is survived by his wife, Clara; a daughter, Belinda Henderson (Tim); his son, Robert “Robbie” Whitaker, Jr.; step-daughter, Deborah Miller; a step-son, Gary Bell; one sister, Belva Touchton (Robert); one brother, Joseph Whitaker; a granddaughter, Tiffany, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and loving friends. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 10 at COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 8384 BaymeadowsRoad #10, Jax, Fl. 32256 or The Highlands United Presbyterian Church, 10900 McCormick Road, Jax, Fl. 32225.
