->Robert Brian "Gus" AndersonRALEIGH, NC - On Saturday July 9th 2011 Robert Brian "Gus" Anderson better known as Gus passed on after a long illness at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, NC. Born on November 10, 1944 to the late Russell Robert Anderson and Cora Greene AndersonHe graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and joined the Army. Upon returning from the service he was employed at Hudson River Psychiatric Center for a while. Gus left Poughkeepsie and went to school at Claflin College in Florence, SC where he received his B.A. Degree. He loved golf, bowling and cards, especially Pinochle. After graduation from college he returned to Poughkeepsie and sort employment at IBM Fishkill and onto FDR Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Montrose, NY. Left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Debra Bank Anderson at home; sons, Robert Brian Anderson Jr of Poughkeepsie and Marcus Anderson of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Nicole Anderson Rowe of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Paulette Lwarence and Ruth Wilson both of Poughkeepsie. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Predeceased by his parents, and brother,Gerald Anderson. Visitation 9am-10am Friday July 15, 2011 at Rhodes Funeral Homes Chapel 43 Fairview Avenue Poughkeepsie. Service at 10am at the chapel. Reverend Sara McRae will officiate.
