Robert Allen Johnson, 65, Bradenton, died July 9, 2003. He was born March 21, 1938, in Bradenton. He owned and operated L & R Cleaning Services and was a former civil engineer for the state of Florida. He was a member of the Elks, was an Eagle Scout and scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts and coached youth sports from the 1960s to the 1990s. He graduated from the University of Florida. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bradenton. Survivors include his wife, Linda; his mother, Vivienne of Bradenton; sons Rockwell and Bryan, both of Bradenton, and Jeffrey of Baltimore; a stepson, Aaron Howard of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Diane Brewer of Arcadia; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Bradenton. Shannon Funeral Home, Town Chapel, is in charge.
