Robert Aleck Jennings, 57, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Dr. Bart McMillian will officiate. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, from noon to 4 p.m.Born in Tampa, Fla., he was the son of the late Alexander Salley and Adele Bowman Jennings. He worked at Northside Hospital in the Cardiology Department; he was an experienced pilot and an avid gardener and attended First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.Survivors include his wife, Marlene Jennings of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Alecia and Shannon Pollock of Shelbyville, Ky., Alexa and Matthew Wood of Gainesville and Mary Kathryn Cummings of Gainesville; son, Airman Alex Jennings of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Adam and Whitney Cummings of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Bekka Jennings of Atlanta; aunts and uncle, Mrs. O.B.
