LOWELL -- Robert A. Bourgeault, a lifelong Lowell resident and World War II veteran who had been a longtime worker in the city, died Sunday evening, March 27. He was 78.He was born in Lowell on Jan. 18, 1927, a son of the late Victor and Louise (Chouinard) Bourgeault.Mr. Bourgeault served in the Army during World War II, and was discharged at the rank of private first class.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Bourgeault was a laborer for many years at Lowell's Department of Public Works. He had been a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church in Lowell. He had also been a member of the C.C.A. Club of Lowell.He is survived by a daughter, Georgette Semon, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Arthur Bourgeault of Lowell; a sister, Rita Mailhot of Nashua; and three grandsons.
