Robert A. Beck, 87, Sarasota, died July 26, 2006. He was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Dayton, Ohio, and came to Sarasota 12 years ago from there. He retired in 1998 as a tool and die maker and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a Mason in Xenia, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Juanita; daughters Mary of Cashiers, N.C., and Valierie Beck-Hoyer of Beavercreek, Ohio; a sister, Virginia Siders of Wilmington, Ohio; a brother, William of Beavercreek; and two grandchildren. A service will be later in Xenia. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.
