Rita S. (Schwarz) Williams of Concord, formerly of Lexington, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Jan. 8, 1919. Wife of the late James B. Williams, she was mother of James Williams and his wife, Jean, of Lexington, Barbara Williams and her husband, Steve DeFuria, of Northridge, Calif., Jonathan Williams and his wife, Judi, of Harvard, Christopher Williams of Lowell, Catherine Tucker of Niskayuna, N.Y., and Bryan Williams and his wife, Molly, of Bridgewater; sister of Helen Egan of Pacific Palisades, Calif., Anna Marie Katt of Zanesville, Ohio, and Joseph Schwarz of Cleveland, Ohio. Rita is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was a World War II Marine Corps veteran; executive director of Concord Family Service; longtime member of Nashawtuc Country Club of Concord and Quota International. Funeral was from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington Saturday, Feb. 27, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends were kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours were Friday, Feb. 26, 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Handicapped Access Fund of St. Brigid Parish, 2001 Mass. Ave., Lexington, MA 02421.
