-> Guyton - Ms. Rita Faye Carter, 51, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Candler Hospital. The Chatham County native was a registered nurse for the past 15 years who helped and served families in several local hospitals. She was preceded in death by her mother, Inez Carter and she was a member of the Dean Forest Baptist Church. Survivors include three children and a son-in-law, Stephanie and Scottie Mew of Brooklet, Lindsay Morris of Rincon and Matthew Morris of Rincon; three grandchildren, Morgan, Brandon and Olivia Mew, all of Brooklet; father, N. L. Carter of Guyton; sisters, Betty Humphries of Sylvania, Tina Myrick of Guyton and Dot Ausley of Angier, NC; brother, Don Carter of Powder Springs and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service: 4 p.m., Friday in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment: Elkins Cemetery on Hwy 204. Thomas C.
