EllabellMrs. Rita Ellen Moore Adams, 61, passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at home while under hospice care. Mrs. Adams was a lifelong resident of Ellabell and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed fishing and taking care of her rose garden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Hampton and Queen Victoria Moore. She is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Edward Bowen of Pembroke and Steven Calvin and Sherry Bowen of Ellabell; one daughter, April Victoria Bowen of Guyton; three brothers, Harry Moore of Bloomingdale, Hermon Moore of Twin City and Leroy Moore of Portal; one sister, Doris Bowen of Eden; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral is at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke with the Rev. Wes Sherrod officiating. Internment will follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery. Visitation is three hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
