Rita A. Johnson, 74, Sarasota, died April 8, 2003. She was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Chicago and came to Sarasota in 1995 from Illinois. She was a homemaker. Survivors include daughters Laurie Lane of Nevada, and Cindi of Sarasota and Karen Harper of Myakka City; a sister, Ruth Holtzapple of Illinois; and a grandchild. Services will be private.
