Casey, Rita A. ALBANY Rita A. (Hart) Casey, 93, died peacefully, Monday, January 18, 2010 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and G. Marie (Bounds) Hart. Mrs. Casey was a graduate of the former Cathedral Academy and attended the College of St. Rose. She was employed by New York State Retirement System as a senior computer programmer, one of the first programmers in NYS Government. She enjoyed auctions, horse racing at Saratoga and in Fla., reading, and making clothes for antique dolls. She was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas J. Myers and, Patrick M. Casey. She is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Myers Cavanaugh (John); nieces Karen M. Casey, and Patricia Bulger Setford; nephew, Patrick Casey and her cousin, Cynthia Bounds Galivan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish of Mater Christi, (formerly St. Catherine of Siena Church). Relatives and friends are invited. Entombment will follow the Mass in the Mausoleum of St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
