RICHARD ROGERS MELBOURNE BEACH Richard D. Rogers, 69, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at home, with his family at his side. Born in New York City, he was raised in Providence RI. He moved back to New York State in 1957, where he resided until retirement in 1994. At that time he and his wife moved to Mel bourne Beach and summered in Narragansett, RI. Richard served in the US Army, graduated from Manhat tan College and was a retired Operating Engineer for Local 15A in New York City. He was an avid golfer who scored four Holes in One. He enjoyed tennis and won several Gold Medals in the Brevard Senior Games. He loved to trav el and did so extensively. His greatest pleasure was derived from time spent with his four daughters, their husbands and children. His family includes his devoted wife of 50 years, Alice Rogers; daughters, Lynda J. (Terrence) Rogers-Seeley of Pine Bush, New York, Sheryl (William) Ranke of Wallkill, New York, Patricia (John) Moschitta of Wallkill, New York, and Mary (John) McKearney of Narragan sett, Rhode Island; brother, Michael (Gloria) Rogers of Mel bourne Beach; sister, Susan Rodgers of Bethesda, Maryland; brother in law, James (Laurie) Greenless of South Kingston, Rhode Island; and his beloved grandchildren, Katie and Michael Seeley, Dan and Suzy Ranke, Amy and Julie Moschitta, and Sara and Richard RJ McKearney, and many loving nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 1 p.m., at the River Club at Outdoor Resorts of America in Melbourne Beach. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in New York on Thurs day, April 27, 2006.
