Richard Murray "Rick" Fitzgerald died Aug. 22, 2012, at the age of 51. His family will receive friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. The Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Joseph's Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., West Orange, on Monday at 11 a.m. The son of Frank and Mary Fitzgerald, Rick grew up in West Orange, N.J., and attended West Orange public schools. He lived in his beloved West Orange for most of his life, working for many years in the bottled water business. He was a kind soul and had many friends in the area. Rick loved Bruce Springsteen and also enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days and remembering the good and not-so- good times with friends and family, always with his sense of humor. Rick was also a member of the Orange Elks. He leaves behind his father, Frank, of Hightstown, N.J.; brother, Frank, of Lawrenceville, N.J., and brother, Jim, of Boston, Mass., along with six nieces and nephews who brought him great joy and pride over the years.
