LAKELAND -- Mr. Richard R. MacDonald of Lakeland died of lung failure Sunday (May 28, 2006) in Lakeland. He was 85.Born in Brownsville, Pa., on March 5, 1921, he came to Lakeland from Harrisburg, Pa., in 1983. He was an architect. He formerly served on the board of directors for Foxwood Lakes Estates. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Buttons and Bows Square Dance Club and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he was a member of the Church Men's Club.Mr. MacDonald is survived by his wife, Dorothy MacDonald; sons, Thomas C. MacDonald, Harrisburg, Karl MacDonald, Ludowici, Ga.; daughters, Patti O'Donovan, Cape Canaveral, Marilyn Yanchuleff, Reading, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 4 to 6 this evening at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
