"Dick" Lee, husband of Jean Rose Lee, passed away at Hospice House in Spartanburg, SC after suffering several strokes. Dick was born 8/25/1933 in Warm Springs, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ohrie Lee an Marguerite Fowler Lee Patton, former wives, Joan and Dottie.Mr. Lee was retired from The Greenville News Newspaper in 2006 having been in the newspaper business in Miami, Seattle and Washington, DC. He was an old movie buff, enjoyed talking with his children and friends on the phone, watching movies, the weather channel and sports on television, and loved to travel before his health prevented it.Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a sister, Deanna Kuckenmeister, four sons (Kenneth, Dennis, Richard and John) and a daughter (Melanie) who all live across the US; four step-daughters (Brenda, Linda, Wanda and Sandie); grandchildren, a niece, and two nephews; and his pup, Annie and cat, Molly.Per his request there will be no funeral. He will be cremated and his remains scattered at Lake Tahoe, NV.Cremation Society of South Carolina
