Loving father to Lisa Godard (husband Maurice) and Debbie Lachance-Burwell (husband Lyle) both of Sudbury, Todd Lachance (wife Christine) of Waterdown and Lorne Lachance (wife Lisa) of Pitt Meadows, B.C. Proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren. Loving brother to Diane Bernier (friend Armand) of Sudbury and Connie Marshall (husband Glenn) of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by parents Isadore and Barbara Lachance and beloved brothers Ronald and Donald. Richard was a master mechanic and expert tradesman. Throughout his life, he worked at several garages in the Sudbury area until becoming a member of millwright local #1425. Richard loved motorcycles and the great outdoors. He cherished his family and friends and was always ready to help someone in need. After several years of ill health, he is now at peace. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Sudbury on Friday, September 7th, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
