Richard James "Rick" Miller of Westville, suddenly passed away on January 19, 2010. He was 53 years of age. LEGACY Born in Camden and raised in Westville, Rick graduated from Gateway High School with the Class of 1975. Following his graduation, Rick joined the family business, Miller & Sons Builders where he remained a partner for more than 25 years. More recently, Rick was employed as a Driver for Accu -Care Medical Transport in Westville. Away from his career with the family business, Rick devoted his life to the community of Westville and more specifically the Fire Department where he served for 38 years and attained the Office of Chief of the Department, where he retired from in 1987. Rick will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as being the life of the party and for his quick wit and generous personality that endeared him to all. Rick’s life was focused on his children and they along with his friends will never forget the warm smile and big hearted personality that was the essence of this great man. FAMILY Rick is survived by his children; Richard James Jr. and Megan Miller; dear brother of Robert (Nancy) Miller, Jacqueline (Bill) Gomeringer and Joanna (Chuck) Murtaugh. Rick is predeceased by his loving parents; John "Jack" and Gladys Miller. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. FAREWELL SERVICE Rick’s Viewing will be held Friday evening 6:30 to 9 PM and Saturday 9 to 10 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp.; Funeral Service will follow on Saturday at 10 in the Funeral Home. Interment, with full Fireman Honors, will take place in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick’s memory may be made to the Westville Fire Department, P.O.
