Richard Francis Lee, 62 WINDHAM -- Richard Francis Lee, 62, of Windham, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Portland on October 11, 1943, the son of William and Mary (Howard) Lee. He attended local schools and was a 1961 graduate of Cheverus High School. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines and Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He worked as an equipment installer for Verizon for 34 years retiring in 2002. He was a member of Union IBEW 2327 and served as a Union Steward. Richard was an avid golfer, reader, historian and traveler. He married his present wife Charlene A. (Forrest) Lee in 1986 in Millbury, Mass. Mr. Lee was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Joyce (Korpella) Lee who died in October of 1984. He is survived by his wife, Charlene of Windham; a son, William M. Lee of Portland; two sisters, Mary Sullivan and her husband Rick of South Portland, Peggy Tramantozzi and her husband Mike of Watertown, Mass.; two brothers, James Lee and his wife Pat of Milford, Mass., Edward Lee and his wife Judy of Manchester, N.H. and numerous nieces and nephews. Services and interment are private. Arrangements made by Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland.
