Richard E. Harris -->Richard E. Harris of Pembroke passed away after a long illness May 11, 2012, with his family by his side. He was 79 years old. Mr. Harris is Army veteran who served in the Military Police during the Korean War. Beloved husband of 55 years to Joan (Callahan) Harris, he was the loving father of Dana and Melissa Harris of Halifax, Wayne Harris of Pembroke, and the late Dale and George Simmons; brother of Harry and Virginia Nordeen of Brockton, and Nancy Willis of Raynham; cherished grandfather of Cory, Chad, Kelsey, Jessica, and Amanda; as well as five great-grandchildren. Richard is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home.
