HENDERSON, Richard (Dick) AndrewDecember 3, 1931 – New Britain, Connecticut, USAMarch 27, 2017 – Calgary, AlbertaRichard (Dick) Andrew Henderson passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the age of 85 years. Richard was a Korean War Veteran and was a member of the KVA Unit #54-201 and employed by the Bristol Brass Corp. He retired in 1993 and in 1997, he moved to Calgary, AB, to be closer to his daughter Heide, after the passing of his beloved wife Gussie. Richard''s biggest passions were 10 pin bowling, red wine, and spaghetti and meatballs. Richard is survived by his daughter Heide MacAlister (nee Henderson). Richard was predeceased by his loving wife Augusta Henderson (nee Rode); and brother Howard (Bubz) Henderson. Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at a later date in Bristol, Connecticut. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Richard''s honour may be made directly to The Alzheimer Society of Calgary, 800, 7015 MacLeod Trail S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2K6, Telephone: (403) 290-0110, www.alzheimercalgary.com. In living memory of Richard Henderson, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
