Dale LeRoy Cox, son of Orval and Effie Marie Fleetwood Cox, was born September 21, 1938, near Seymour, Mo., and departed this life Saturday, February 4, 2006, in his home near Seymour, Mo., at the age of 67 years, four months, and 14 days. Dale was raised in the Ava community in Douglas County and on February 7, 1958, he was united in marriage to Macel Marlean Keen and to this union four children were born. Dale was a minister and had pastored several Full Gospel and Pentecostal Churches in the area. His family moved to the Seymour community 26 years ago, where he owned a beef cattle farm. He also was retired from Hutchens Steel Processors of Seymour and Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Wayne Cox, in l987. He is survived by his loving wife, Macel, of the home three children, Barbara Pohl and husband, Richard, Jerry Cox and wife, Janet, and Dalene Wiggins and companion, Clint Misemer, all of Seymour seven grandchildren three great-grandchildren three step great-grandchildren four brothers, Keith Cox, Hyrum, Utah, Glen Cox, Springfield, Mo., Doyle Cox and wife, Mona, Mansfield, Mo., and Ronnie Cox, Ava, Mo. a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2006, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour, with Rev. Garry Hall, Sr., officiating. Burial will be in Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home.
