March 30, 2006 Rev. Jean King Carter, 82, of 20 N. Beaver St., Jordan, died Thursday in Community General Hospital. Born in Conquest, Rev. Carter graduated from Auburn East High School, Auburn Hospital School of Nursing and Faith School of Theology in Maine. Over the years, she served as a minister, missionary and teacher. Rev. Carter was a member of Throop Church of God. Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy (Ray) Meaker of Jordan and Rebecca (Bill) Lunn of Solvay; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bush Funeral Home, Jordan. Burial will be in Soule Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 15 N. Main St., Jordan.
