Mrs. Retha Mae Miles Williams, 72, of Stockton, Mo., passed from this life on Thursday, September 29, 2005, in her home. She was born September 10, 1933, in Elkland, Mo., to Evie and Garie Miles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evie father, Garie sister, Lois "Tommy" Glass and her husband, Wilbur E. Williams, also of Stockton. Retha was united in marriage to her husband, Wilbur E. Williams, on January 27, 1953, living in Perry, Iowa, where they raised their family before retiring to Stockton, Mo. She is survived by three daughters, Arlene Garrett of Perry, Iowa, Elaine Martin of Fair Grove, Mo., and Verla Gregory and husband, Roger, of Fair Grove, Mo. grandchildren, Jessica Snowgrin of Perry, Iowa Andrea Garrett of Des Moines, Iowa Stephanie and Brian Garrett of Perry, Iowa Jamie Conrad of Jackson, Wyo. Levi Martin of Fair Grove, Mo. Makenzie and Darren Smith of Pleasant Hope, Mo. Haley Carter of Springfield, Mo. and Ian Carter of Fair Grove, Mo. great-grandchildren, Kayla Snowgrin of Perry, Iowa Grace Garrett of Perry, Iowa Kaiden Martin of Nixa, Mo. and Logan Smith of Pleasant Hope, Mo. sisters, Geneva Hankins of Fair Grove, Mo., Ina Trost and Wynemia Skidmore of Springfield, Mo. one brother, Billy Miles of Springfield, Mo. along with many nieces, nephews, and many friends. Retha's life is best judged by the people she touched and loved and whom loved her. Her mortality lives on in our memories and many memories she gave us. Retha will be missed. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2005, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N. National Blvd., Springfield, Mo. Memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home.
