Funeral service for Ret. SSG David Carl Williams, 66, of Gadsden, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at New Liberty Tabernacle of Praise with Pastor Willie Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Alabama National Cemetery with full honors. Gadsden Memorial Funeral Home directing. There will be no viewing today. His remains will lie in state on Friday an hour prior to service. Survivors include sons, David (Teresa) Williams, Tracy (Katrina) Rudolph; daughter, Lolita (Terry Pyrtle) Williams; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepparent, Lonnie Marrie and Frances Williams; four brothers; two sisters; and a son.
