Obituary of Rebecca-Bramlett Carter


Watkinsville - Rebecca Bramlett Carter, 47, wife of Stan Carter, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at St. Maryís Hospital. Born in Lexington, KY she was the daughter of Dr. Gene Bramlett and Carol Hilton Bramlett. For most of her life she lived in the Athens and Watkinsville areas with her husband and children. She was a member of Gateway United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and the Soul Care Sunday School Class. Becky had been involved with or a member of the Le Leche League, Mother Center, Athens Symphony and the CFIDS Support Group. Survivors include her husband, parents, daughters; Shelley Elizabeth Carter, Anna Carol Carter, son Colton Harrison Carter, and brother, Howard Hilton Bramlett of Atlanta. Close friends include Lori Hitchcock and Beverly Varnado of Athens among others. She was a Christian first and foremost as well as a loving mother, wife, and daughter, generous in spirit and loved by those who knew her. She will be missed by all.Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2005 at 11AM at Gateway United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Varnado officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Oconee Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Barry Hitchcock, Steve Sellers, Paul Carter, Clay Sharpe, Curt Harper, and Alan Tasker. Memorials may be made to CFIDS research in lieu of flowers. Lord & Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
