The second of four children born to John and Rose (Jacob) Peters May 28, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Betty Joyce (Walker); three children, Dale Peters of Ben Lomon, CA, Jerry Peters of Lees Summit, MO, and Jeff Peters of Petoski, MI.Ray served from June 1944 to August 1945 in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and retired after 35 years from General Motors, after which he and Joyce served two years as volunteers with the International Correspondence Institute in Brussels, Belgium. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., in the Maranatha Village Chapel on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 with the funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will occur at the Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
