Raymond Newton II, 58, died Jan. 27, 2007, at Fort Pierce Health Care. He was born in Brunson, S.C., and lived in Stuart for more than 40 years. He was a self-employed fashion designer. He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion design. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Linton-Newton of Miami Lakes; sons, Raymond Newton III of Fort Walton Beach and Rickey Newton of Fort Myers; stepson, Gordon Henry of Miami; stepdaughters, KaNikka Henry of Philadelphia, Danielle Henry of Lithonia, Ga., and Kimberle' Henry of Tallahassee; brothers, Vannie Newton Sr., Calvin L. Newton Sr., John Henry Newton Sr., and Horace Newton Sr., all of Stuart; sisters,Glorris Murphy of Vero Beach and Alfreda Newton of Stuart; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Newton; mother, Neter Pearl Newton; and sisters, JoAnn Newton, Diane Newton, Cheyenne New ton and Lizzie Mae Newton- Queen. SERVICES: Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at Stone Broth ers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. A service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 3 at Mount Zion AME Church in Gifford.
