HANCOCK, Dr. Raymond Lee, age 87, went to be with the Lord while at home in Hampton, GA, on February 3, 2015. He grad-uated from Tennessee Temple University with a degree in Theology. He preached at Providence Baptist Church in Brandon, FL and started Providence Christian School and College. He retired from Pinecrest Baptist Church in GA and went into Evangelism after his retirement. He founded the Independent Baptist Fellowship of Georgia. Dr. Hancock spoke at many churches, colleges around the nation and wrote many books. Dr. Hancock was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Annell Hancock. He is survived by his child-ren, Linda James of FL, Donna Via of VA, Daniel Hancock of GA, Earnest Dale Hancock of NC; 2 brothers; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchild-ren. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle in Jonesboro, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Har-vest Baptist Tabernacle. Entombment will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gar-dens.
