Obituary of Raymond Harrington


HARRINGTON, Raymond L. "Ray," 63, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died December 5, 2006. He was a truck driver for 30 years known as "Humphrey the Camel." In 1996, he became a master mason of Zephyr Lodge 198 Free and Accepted Masons and was very active. He and other Masons from the mid 1990s to 2000 were instrumental in bringing the lodge out of a slump and back to a sound financial basis. In 1999, he was junior warden, and in 2000, he was senior warden. In 2001, he was worshipful master of the lodge. At that time, he was a member of the Master and Wardens Association of area. He is survived by a daughter, Lavena (Scott) Hanyon; a son, Dale Harrington (Susan Colpitts); four grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; a brother, Milton "Red" Harrington; two sisters, Linda (Sonny) Bouren and Debbie Gardner (Mike Hill); several nieces, nephews and special friends, Ronnie and Malinda Rose. Funeral services and interment were December 9, 2006, in Windsor. A celebration of his life and Masonic funeral service will be 2 p.m. December 16, 2006, in The Lodge Room of Zephyr Lodge 198 Free and Accepted Masons, 5950 12th St., Zephyrhills. All members and area Masons are requested to attend both services. Memorial contributions are to be made Zephyr Lodge 198 Free and Accepted Masons, Charity Fund, P.O. Box 923, Zephyrhills, FL 33539-0923. Arrangements are by D. E. Donaldson, L.F.D.
