Raymond Anderson, of Kapuskasing, died at North Centennial Manor on Aug. 13, 2008. He was 74 years old. Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 8, 1933 in Inwood, Manitoba. He enjoyed rug hooking, playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles, and was a longtime member of the Silver Seniors Club. Mr. Anderson was predeceased by his parents Alvilde and Alstrup Anderson and one nephew. He is survived by his four brothers, John (Marthe) and Howard (Fleurette) , both of Kapuskasing, Allen (Jeannine) of Burlington and Frank (Aini) of Waterdown; sister Lila of Sudbury; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 from 2 p. m. to 4 p. m. and from 7 p. m. to 9 p. m. at the Guenette Funeral Home. A funeral service for Mr. Anderson will be held on August 18, 2008 at the Kapuskasing United Church at 10:30 a. m. with Michael Rundle presiding. Cremation was performed at the Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson. Donations can be made to North Centennial Manor, the Kapuskasing United Church, or a charity of choice. Funeral director was the Guenette Funeral Home.
