NEWINGTON - Raymon Samuel Lee, age 64, died Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. The Screven County native was a farmer and a cattleman. He was a member of North Newington Baptist Church and also attended Jackson Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Screven County Farm Bureau. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clifford Wayne and Amelia Bazemore Lee. Survivors: wife, Hazel Hodges Lee of Newington; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Gary Neidlinger and Karmen and Mike Phillips, all of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Winona Woods of Sylvania; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynette and Gordon Thigpen of Statesboro, Mary Joyce Morgan and Rita and Ricky Ivey, all of Sylvania; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Linda Lee of Sylvania; nine grandchildren, Stephen Lacienski, Jason Lacienski, Ronnie Phillips, Cody Neidlinger and Lane Neidlinger, all of Springfield, and Samuel Woods, Eli Woods, James Woods and Rebekah Woods, all of Sylvania; several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 6-8 p.m. The funeral service: Sunday, January 20, 2008, at 3 p.m. in the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with the Rev. Pete Wall and the Rev. Max Hall officiating. Burial in the North Newington Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: grandsons. Honorary pallbearers: special friends.
