Mr. Ray Edward Williams, age 81, of Bonifay, passed away December 25, 2011 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay. He was born October 2, 1930 in Bonifay, to the late Ernest Sheldon Williams and Leila Eugenia Cook Williams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams is preceded in death by five sisters, Vonnie Herndon, Viola Steverson, Mattie Lou Faircloth, Avie Lee Carlisi, and Lola Pearl Elkins, and three brothers, Frank Williams, Albert Williams, and Buford Williams.Mr. Williams is survived by one brother, Tom Williams of Garland, TX; three sisters, Evelyn Whitaker of Panama City, Lela Mae Taylor of Columbus, GA, and Annie Thompson of Bonifay, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at First Baptist Church Bonifay with the Rev. Burney Enzor and the Rev. Shelly Chandler officiating. Interment was at the East Mt. Zion Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, directing.
