Obituary of Ralph-Willard Lee


Ralph Willard Leeof Thompson, Pa.Ralph Willard Lee of Thompson, Pa., passed away on Tuesday at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, Pa., after a courageous battle with cancer. His wife of 47 years is the former Roslyn Thorn. Born June 24, 1931 in Uniondale, Pa., he was the son of the late Paul and Helen Spencer Lee. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving on the U.S.S. New Jersey during the Korean War. He was retired from the Susquehanna Community School District. He was a member of the American Legion Post 86, Susquehanna, Pa., the Ararat United Methodist Church, and he was a lifetime member and past chief of the Thompson Hose Company. He is also survived by his children, Linda Chesnick and her husband, Michael, Jewel Lee, Scott Lee, Paul Lee and his wife, Melanie; his grandchildren, Kacie Chesnick and Eric Lee, all of Thompson, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy Thorn, Thompson, Pa.; two brothers, Carlton Lee, Uniondale, Pa., and Roger Lee, Forest City, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City, Pa. Memorial Service will be held at a later date with interment in Ararat Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ararat United Methodist Church of the Thompson Hose Company.
